In Short – One of the most spectacular beaches in the state, Race Point, at the very tip of Cape Cod, is a sweeping eight miles long. There are an expanse of rolling dunes, and surfing is allowed. It's also a nice spot for swimmers, but water depths drop off sharply. Sunsets here are beautiful. If you keep your eye on the water, you may catch a whale: Stellwagen Bank, a prime feeding area, is nine miles away.
Beautiful Beach
by lkd
This beach is one of the most beautiful on the east coast. It is never crowded, even on the weekends in the middle of Summer. One drawback is that the water is COLD, but the kids never seem to mind. And yes, you can watch the sunset because of the angle that the cape takes at it's tip. Bring dinner, a bottle of wine and a kite and have a simple, magical evening.
- Pros: Beauty, Parking, Sunsets
