Hyannis great food. great food. outdoor seating available. (Main Street, or quieter back patio. the menu is diverse, with a large selection. Everything the family has tried is delicious. highly recommend
HoHum in Hyannis.
While it wasn't horrible, we wouldn't go back to Schooner's. I had an Italian seafood dish, and it was okay but not worth the price. My wife described her fish dish as "okay."
Pros: nice decor, convenient location, fairly big menu
Cons: mediocre food, somewhat rude waitress, pricey for what you get
Excellent food, service and decor.. I've spent many a lunch and dinner at Schooners (Main Street Hyannis) with friends and family and anyone that is up for a great meal, wonderful service in a clean, well decorated restaurant. The atmosphere is a mix between a family restaurant and a high-end, upscale restaurant. The food is fresh and well-prepared with a creative selection of pastas, steaks and seafoods as well as typical American cuisine for those less adventurous. Prices are more than reasonable. The service is typically quick and friendly with a hint of black-tie professionalism. Decorations and woodwork are absolutely wonderful - the theme is nautical (model ships, portholes, signage and the like). No detail is spared. Busy in the Summer (like most Main Street eateries) but relaxing and easy-going in the off-season - it's inviting year round, but enjoy the extra speacial attention you'll get in the off-season. With all the chain restaurants out there doing basically the same boring thing, I prefer to spend my time and money in a nice "Mom & Pop" like this. I would Highly Recommend enjoying a meal and a glass of wine at this fine restaurant.
