Treat Yourself!. We dined on The Sweet Life Cafe's outdoor patio this summer. It was beautiful! The service was incredibly professional, but not stuffy. The food was absolutely delicious and filling without being too heavy. I ordered the scallops which were seasoned perfectly. My husband had beef with 'bone marrow crust' which he thoroughly enjoyed because it was so tender he didn't have to use his knife! The creme brulee desert did not disappoint either. We ate at a different restaurant every one of the four nights we were on the island and this was by far the best!
An appropriate name for this excellent restaurant..
Masterfully snuggled into a simple old house, Sweet Life sits at the end of the busiest and zaniest of Vineyard streets, Circuit Avenue in Oak Bluffs. The feeling is intimate and romantic, due largely to the fact that you are eating in a dining room, complete with china cabinet, real doorways and a tiny front porch.
Superb. We started with a rosemary bread with salted crust. The seafood we ordered did not disappoint with its richly flavored sauces. Chef Jackson Kenworth clearly knows what he's doing. The highlight of dessert had to be the homemade lemon ice cream.
