Greatest Place for Fresh Seafood. Wonderful food, friendly staff, and great water front scenery. Definitely worth the visit to Cape Cod.

Great seafood and a good value.. Having never been to Haynnis before, we found a recommendation for this restaurant in our travel guide and I have to say it was every bit as good as promised. After coming back from a trip over to Nantuckett, this is the perfect place to stop and have a great seafood dinner sitting out on the dock. The place keeps the prices low by offering bare bones accomodations, but they make up for it in the quality of food. Quite possibly the best clam chowder and definitely the best fried clams I've ever had. My partner had the fish and chips, which were good, but the clams come piled on the plate so high they're falling off onto your tray! Trust me, you need to stop here for a relaxing dinner here if you are passing through Hyannis.

A Must Visit!. Such a great place to eat. Their clam chowder defines what the soup should taste like, in my eyes. And where better to eat chowder, then on the dock?! With great food, friendly waiters, a relaxed atmosphere... Baxters is a must visit when on the Cape. I go every time I am there (every summer), as my fiance has since he was 3 years old!

A must stop for this NY native. Consider this a necessary detour if you're ever on the Cape, as I have for several summers now. There is simply nothing like sitting out on Baxter's dock with a cold beer and a plate of their offerings before you. Biting through their crisp batter to have their succulent fried clams or oysters (prepared to order) dissolve in your mouth is nothing short of heaven. When there are fireworks, you also get 4-star seating while enjoying this bargain meal

The only deterrent to this experience may be the seagulls nearby hungrily watching your plate, so heed Baxter's sign and beware that "Seagulls are robbers!"
