Shoe Salon
Great Shop.
I come to The Cape every year for my annual vacation and always go to the Shoe Salon to stock up on shoes. The service is great and I always walk out with at least 3 pairs! On a couple of occassions I had to return them, and it was never a problem. The staff are very helpfull and I never felt rushed.
A great selection of shoes and handbags too
Buyer Beware.
7/26/08-I purchased a pair of Jack Roger sandals ($86!). Upon wearing them 5 feet down the sidewalk (mind you, there is no where to walk around the store to truly test out the shoes) I went back into the store just to have the retailer tell me I couldn't return them. She tried to stretch them on a machine for me. The process did not change how uncomfortable the shoe was for me. I should have brought them to the restaurant next door, wiped them down with a wet paper towel, and returned them and told them I wore them briefly around my living room, however I'm not a liar!
My recommendation: Spend the time, no matter how difficult, and walk many times around the small, cramped area of the store (hopefully, it won't be busy like the day (Saturday) I was there. Then again, if they continue to get negative reviews, they may not have to worry about being busy!!!!
Customer Service is not in their vocabulary.
DON"T BUY THERE!
I visited this store on an annual weekend vacation, and purchased 2 pr. of expensive shoes. One pair was sent to me because they did not have my size. After wearing them in my house, they were uncomfortable. I called and explained, asked for a credit, and sent them back. I received a call from an obnoxious woman insinuating that the shoes were worn (we are not talking Payless, and I am not a young girl wearing them to a formal, and trying to get over) and they returned them to me. I had already told her that I wore them around my house. I was treated poorly, and now have a pair of $ 200 shoes which I cannot wear. I will never shop there again, and will tell anyone about this experience. Nordstrom knows how to treat their customers. The Shoe Salon wants to push a product, but does not care about customers once they get their $$$$. They will not see me next spring, as well as the three women I was shopping with.
