Chatham >Oasis Salon & Day Spa
perfection!. My daughter recently got married on the cape and we could not have chosen a better salon. The entire staff, from the receptionist, to hair and make-up were so professional. Everyone looked amazing and loved how they looked and felt. The breakfast they served was such a nice touch and they set it up beautifully. They were completely accommodating and made each of us feel like we were like family, with hugs, kisses and tears when we left. It was such a great experience and completely unexpected! Perfect way to start my daughter's wedding day!
awesome experience...highly recommended!. I recently went to Oasis for hair and makeup for my wedding. It was such a great way to start off a beautiful day. To comment on a previous review.....a gourmet breakfast should be the last thing to complain about on one of the biggest day of your life! You were at a salon, not a restaurant at the 4 seasons hotel. Not sure you could have been any more stuck up and ungracious. My bridesmaids and I loved the bagels and muffins we were provided. It was perfect. We brought our own champagne and the desk attendant even made us mimosas with cute wine charms on the glasses!!! I couldnt have been happier with my hair and makeup. We all looked amazing and everyone was so caring and willing to do whatever we needed/wanted. They even squeezed my mom in to fix her nails which had been poorly done the previous day at a different salon. We were sent away with hugs from the staff and smiles on our faces.......lox and matching napkins were the last thing on my mind. It was perfect and I would recommend Oasis to anyone who is traveling to the Cape.
Best full service salon for a wedding.
I have been in the beauty business for 25 years and
I work in the Boston area as well as Cape Cod. I also work with brides as a makeup artist. We have
sent many, many clients from the Boston area who
are having destination weddings on the Cape to
Oasis Salon & Day Spa. They have had nothing but
great things to say about their experience. The entire
staff is committed to helping every bride and her
bridal party from hair stylists, manicurist, and massage
therapist. The buffett the day of the wedding is a wonderful extra to make it also a fun and relaxing
I usually use sites like this to pick a service-in this case, it seems clear from previous comments that there was at least one wedding that went sour. I booked a service here anyways (Sol Spa was booked-would wait next time!) and went in for a trim and blow-dry. My husband and I were enjoying our anniversary, and I wanted to look extra special.
"Special" was how I came out-more than 45 minutes late due to the stylist being behind, and with a style I did not ask for or care for. I won't be back.
Perfect Wedding Spa.
Our daughter's wedding was perfect!!! The girl's at the Oasis helped us put our best foot forward, thats pretty painted feet. They did there magic, beautiful hair- do's, pretty painted toes and nails, and makeup.
They went out of there way to make us feel special. Its the place to go for all your wedding beauty needs, they're the best
My wedding day experience was very good.. After reading all these poor reviews from wedding party members earlier this year I just want to say that I had my hair and nails done at Oasis before my wedding and everything was perfectly fine. I had a french mani and pedi and let me say that the pedi lasted for over 1 month. My cuticles are always a disaster and my manicurist knew how to tame my unruly cuticles. I also smugged a nail while I was there and they fixed it on the spot without me asking. When it came time for my hair my stylist asked me what my vision was and what my dress looked like. She gave me a lovely french twist that didn't move all night. Perfect. I was very pleased with my experience. The only dissapointment I had was Oasis' lack of elegance. When I think "spa" I think tranquil and elegant. Oasis really is neither, but the place was clean and everyone was very friendly and treated me with respect and kindness.
Setting it Straight. I am an employee at Oasis. The staff, as well as myself, would like to point out that the wedding party that has been making the rounds on review websites has reached the point of slander and none of us will continue to tolerate any of your immaturity. Your behavior at the salon was unacceptable and I feel that we were very graceful about it. Not only did you drink far too much, you helped yourself to our products. The breakfast we supplied was at no cost to you, and I think its tasteless for you to complain about something that was complimentary. As for the nail comments, all the nail staff is highly trained and efficient, and none of our employees would ever charge to fix something you aren't happy with. Any further comments can be directed to our owners who have been, and are willing to continue being, very accommodating. I hope that all you ladies can maintain a higher level of class and handle this situation like adults.
Special wedding salon services? Not in the way you would like.
My soon-to-be daughter-in-law booked hair and nail appointments for the wedding party at this spa/salon on May 10th and 11th. Sunday was the day of the wedding. The Oasis website appears to offer a luxury fun experience for brides and says "we'll make it just so" and "it's all about you". Well, I beg to differ. On the phone and email it was very difficult to make arrangements and get confirmation for a breakfast of bagels, croissants and accompaniments on the Sunday morning. They mention champagne on the website, but I was told I would have to bring it. I was assured a tablecloth and napkins would be provided and that I could arrive early to set up the champagne and favors, etc. In actuality, the salon didn't even open till our appointment time, the 'breakfast' was put on a workstation with the equipment just pushed back, there were mismatched napkins and no tablecloth and the agreed on preserves for the croissants and lox for the bagel never appeared. One of our party receiving nothing like the hair styling she requested - in fact her husband asked if anything had been done when he saw her! After I left the staff apparently complained about the champagne, though I had prior approval to bring it. The bride was asked for money even though the salon had been given credit card numbers to bill. The bride paid the deposit and the balance was supposed to be billed to my credit card, given in advance - the bride ended up being charged for the whole thing and was given a big hassle in trying to sort out payment.
By the way, the good review after all the bad ones - that person is employed at the salon currently and has the same name as the person with whom I was trying to make the arrangements for breakfast and billing!
Their policy: The customer is NEVER right.
I am not an overly particular person-I work in a service industry, and certainly understand how "things happen" sometimes that are outside of a business' control. however, at my job, we do our best to ensure the customer leaves satisfied-a lesson Oasis could benefit from.
I was scheduled for an up-do, and the stylist was more than 40 minutes late, putting me late as a result. There was no apology; instead, she seemed to rush through the up do and was not giving me what I had asked for and showed her in pictures. The result was a mess that I asked her to fix when she was party way through; she noted she had another appointment and could not do so. I was shocked! She then agreed to fix it, but noted she would have to charge me more, as my appointment would run over-I could not believe it!! I complained to the manager on the way out, who was unapologetic and unsympathetic. She told me that I had received the service I paid for-which was just not true.
Maybe they were overbooked, or having a bad day-but their bad day ruined my evening photos and memories. It was a truly disappointing experience. Next time I will go to the Chatham Bars.
Worst Manicure I Have Ever Gotten!. I am from Concord, Ma and get manicures just about weekly. While at the cape, I tried this spa and was SO disappointed. The woman did not take care with my cuticles, smudged the polish as it went on, could not get the white of the french manicure straight-apologized-and then left it!!! The worst part was she did not ask how I shape my nails-made the decision herself, and not to my liking. The polish flaked off within days. I complained to management, and was told I was overreacting-some customer service!
