The place to take your buddies, your babies, your boss and your grandfather..
The Scene
Gone are the days when patrons would hop atop the tables (or even the telephone booth, we've been told) to sing along with "Blue Christmas" and other legions of jukebox tunes unchanged for decades. Still, Land Ho! remains a classic pub, complete with wood planking, hanging quarterboards bearing the names of local businesses, a bare minimum of natural light and the required seacoast touches of buoys and fish nets. Although the noise level can move off the charts as the evening progresses (and those tables seem mighty close together during the summer season), it is truly the quintessential pub for the sweep of humanity that routinely congregates.
The Food
The main menu hasn't changed much since John Kennedy was president, but the specials board is the Ho!'s calling card. Multiple fresh seafood offerings are the focus here, most served either fried or fried. You get the picture.
