Other cape restaurants have loftier reputations, but few provide atmosphere and food as good as you'll find here.

The Scene
It's as though you're enjoying a private meal in a lavish old home. Five intimate dining rooms set the stage: A couple toasts a birthday with champagne at a quiet corner table; another, sitting near a window and watching the view, celebrates an anniversary. The Bramble Inn inspires romance and devotion.
The Food
The food only enhances the mood. The four-course, fixed-price menu changes regularly, but a constant specialty is the seafood curry, featuring lobster in an open shell, scallops, shrimp and cod covered in toasted almonds and coconut. Also try the salmon mignon, which arrives with a lobster-potato pancake surrounded by a strip of smoked salmon.

A wonderful exprience from the moment you enter and are greted by a friendly and knowledable staff. (All quite elegant in their long black skirts and black lace tops, I might add.) The food was cutting edge and beautifully displayed on the plate. So many nice choices it was hard to decide, but the seafood curry and the lobster with chicken were particularly enticing. The chef really knows her stuff!
- Pros: romantic, great food, great service
