This place is really cool, Love the unique artwork and fixtures,
The waiter we had wasnt the most attentive, I think he may have actually forgotten about us at one point (But this is a very popular and busy place.) The food was excellent. I was very happy with my meal - and next time I am in the area I will be sure to stop by again.
Best Fish and Chip on the cape.

The food is amazing and the seafood is so fresh, I've been eating here for years. The service is slow, but that is because the food is in demand. I recomend, Fish and Chips, Thai Chicken Salad, The Bread Basket, and for Lunch the Warm Lobster Roll, or The Mitchwich Wrap which is Fabulous. Every summer I look forward to eating at Bubala's. The price is good for Ptown.
Tourist trap

The problem with restaurants in a tourist market is that the food and service can be terrible and they can stay in business. In any other market, Bubala's would be long gone but in P-Town, they can serve bad food with even worse service and coast on a reputation that locals know they lost years ago. Avoid this place like the plague.
- Pros: It's on the water. Nice view. Nice terrace.
- Cons: Everything else.
Attentive service, reasonable prices and outstanding fare--this restaurant knows what it takes to succeed.

The Scene
This funky (what isn't in P-town?), medium-sized restaurant passes the litmus test for attentive service, reasonable prices and outstanding fare in a food-mad town. You can grab a booth in the dining room to look out onto the bay or people watch along Commercial Street from the outdoor patio.
The Food
The menu ranges from grilled tuna wasabi, baked Cuban cod and steamed lobster to roasted duck, lamb and a selection of pastas. All are reasonably priced and delicious. Don't miss the shrimp fajita, with a hefty serving of shrimp mixed with guacamole, sour cream and cheese. Foccacia sandwiches, salads, burgers, wraps and various seafood selections round out the lunch menu.

I am truly amazed that this made a "best of" list. The food was bland, overpriced, and absolutely all the seafood was overcooked and rubbery. I actually returned my rubbery scallops to get new, properly cooked ones and was told by my server 20 minutes later that I should just order something else because the kitchen wasn't willing to prepare them the correct way. The lobster was also overcooked and dry. The service was rude and slow as well. I would never go back to this restaurant and was by far my worst eating experience at Cape Cod. I would recommend a roadside clamshack over this place.
- Pros: Nice Patio
- Cons: , Bad Service, Over-priced
Terrible, terrible service and expensive

I went to this restaurant with (albeit) higher expectations based on the editorial and user review here, and came away *extremely* disappointed. The service was beyond atrocious - it was delivered with an attitude, and was almost impossible to get the waitress back to our table after she took our initial order and delivered our food. The ambience was OK (Ptown delivered most of that, as we were seated outside), but the food was nothing spectacular and quite expensive. The grilled tuna wasabi at $21 might have been the best value, and that's ala carte (as is most of the menu). Don't expect to spend less than $40 pp, unless you drink tap water and get the least expensive menu item.
- Pros: Accomodated children, outdoor seating, good food
- Cons: overpriced, poor service, parking difficult
Great Food Value

You get a basket of bread with roasted garlic and olive oil with a dinner entree. The bread basket is worth the few dollars charged to get it with a salad. Two of us have had Thai chicken salad, caesar salad with grilled tuna, a bread basket, a soft drink and a beer for just over $20. The food was great, the service good, the prices are very reasonable for the area. And you can eat outside in the fresh air, umbrellas and heaters provided.
- Pros: Inexpensive, parking, crowded
- Cons: crowded
